The free crochet pattern for this crossbody purse is perfect for yourself or the little lady in your life. For this bag we are using the easy simple stich, a stitch that gives an amazing texture and depth, and isn’t too awfully difficult to master. Once you get the rhythm of the stitch set down you’ll be done in no time.

Crochet hook 4mm
Crochet hook 7mm
Stich markers
PATTERN:
Chain 48,
Rnd 1: Work sc in the next ch from the hook on the back bump of the chain, continue until you worked 46 sc total, then in the last chain work six sc sts, continue on the other side of the chain with 46 sc sts.
Rnd 2: 46 blsc starting the first sc st from the hook, place a stich marker, [1 blsc ch1,] rep 5 times, 1 blsc, place a stich marker, 1blsc in the next 46 sts, ch1 and turn.
Rnd 3: 46 blsc starting the first sc st from the hook, place a stich marker, 11 blsc st, place a stich marker, 1blsc in the next 46 sts, ch1 and turn.
Rnd 5: 46 blsc starting the first sc st from the hook, place a stich marker, (work ch 1 between each of the following 11 blsc sts) [1sc, ch1]* rep 10 times, place a stich marker, 1blsc in the next 46 sts, ch1 and turn.
Rnd 6: 46 blsc starting the first sc st from the hook, place a stich marker, 21 blsc st, place a stich marker, 1blsc in the next 46 sts, ch1 and turn.
Rnd 7: 46 blsc starting the first sc st from the hook, place a stich marker, (work a blch 1 between every second stich of the following 21 sc sts) [1blsc, ch1]* rep 20 times, place a stich marker, 1blsc in the next 46 sts, ch1 and turn.
Rnd 8: 46 blsc starting the first sc st from the hook, place a stich marker, 31bl sc st, place a stich marker, 1blsc in the next 46 sts, ch1 and turn.
Rnd 9-10: repeat rnd 8.
Fasten off, sew in ends.
Fold the work up, to where you have the stich markers, leaving the top part to cover the front of the purse and sew the sides of the work together.
For the strep I used 4 strands of yarn and with a 7mm crochet hook I chained for the desired lenght. Position strap on opposite sides and sew to into place.
