This pattern starts by chaining a given number of stitches for the size headband you want to make, then we connect the chains together to for a circle. I ussually make a headband about 2 inches smaller than the actual head circumference to allow for stretch. I will show you how to make this pattern step by step in different sizes.

SIZES
Instructions for the Easy Crochet Headband include 7 sizes! Ranging from newborn to adult large, you’ll be able to make this headband for anyone! You can also easily adjust the sizing by working more or less stitches or more or less rows! To adjust the length, add more or less foundation half double crochet stitches to row ! To adjust the width, repeat rows 2-3 as many times as necessary to reach your desired width. Make sure you read this post to the end to have a complete understanding of this pattern and to find the right crochet pattern size for the headband you desire to crochet.

MATERIALS
- Crochet hook I 5.5 mm
- Lion Brand Wool Spun , or any bulky yarn (5).
- Yarn needle (tapestry needle)
- Scissors
- Measuring tape
GAUGE
- 12 stitches x 9 rows = 4”
- You will need to make sure you have 12 stitches for every 4 inches of the headband for the correct fit.
Note: This headband isn’t quite as stretchy along its length as, let’s say, the brim of crocheted beanies.

Round 1: Chain 36, sl st to first ch forming a circle, making sure not to twist ch.

Round 2: Chain 1, hdc in every st around, sl st to the top of first hdc. 36

Round 3: ch 1, sc in every st around in the bl only, sl st to the top of first sc. 36

Round 4: Chain 1, hdc in every st around, sl st to the top of first hdc NOT the ch. 36

Round 5: ch 1, sc in every st around in the bl only, sl st to the top of first sc. 36
Round 6: Chain 1, hdc in every st around, sl st to the top of first hdc. 36
